Work 1X1 rib for 6 rows. ( 1X1 rib : repeat [k1, p1] )

Set up : With 5.5mm needle, [k1,p1]X9, pm, [k1, p1]X5, pm, [k1 p1]X19, pm, [k1, p1]X5, pm, [k1, p1]X9.

Row 1 (RS) : [k to m, slm]X4, k2, W&T.

Row 2 (WS) : [p to m, slm]X4, p2, W&T.

Row 3 (RS) : [k to 1 st before m, M1R, k1, slm, k1, M1L]X4, k to wrapped st, work wrapped st, W&T.

Row 4 (WS) : [p to m, slm]X4, p to wrapped st, work wrapped st, W&T.

Repeat the last 2 rows 4 times more.

Row 13 (RS) : [k to 1 st before m, M1R, k1, slm, k1, M1L]X4, k to wrapped st, work wrapped st, k to end.

Dividing body and sleeves

 

[k to m, rm, move 54 sts to scrap yarn, rm, co 8]X2, k to end.

Body

 

Work in stockinette st until piece measures 32cm(12.5 inches) from underarm co.

Change to smaller needle and work in 1X1 rib st for 18 rows. 

Bind off all sts.

 

 

Sleeves

 

Return 54 held sts from scrap yarn onto 2 circular needles.

Begin at center of underarm CO sts, pick up and knit 4 sts, pick up 1 st (where the CO sts meet the sleeve sts), knit across sts, pick up 1 st (where the CO sts meet the sleeve sts) then pick up and knit another 4 sts along remaining underarm CO sts - 64 sts.

Now work in the round.

K4, k2tog, k to last 6 sts, ssk, k4 - 62 sts.

K 7 rounds.

Decrease : K2, k2tog, k to last 4 sts, ssk, k2 - 60 sts. 
K 9 rounds.

Repeat the last 10 rounds 2 times more - 56 sts.

Increase : k2, kfsb(knit front slip back), k to last 3 sts, kfsb, k2 - 58 sts.

K 9 rounds.

decrease : K2togX16, k2, k2togX16 - 34 sts.

rib : Change to smaller needle and work in 1X1 rib for 12 rounds.

Change to larger needle and bind off all sts.

 

 

Right Front band (button holes)

 

Pick up and knit 108 sts (about 3 sts out of 4 rows) at right front edge.

Work 1X1 rib for 3 rows.

Button hole row (RS) : Work 12 sts, [k2tog, yo, work 16 sts]X5, k2tog, yo, work to last.  
(work : knit the knit stitch and purl the purl stitch)

Work 1X1 rib for 3 rows.

Bind off all sts.

 

 

Left front band

 

Pick up and knit 108 sts. (about 3 sts out of 4 rows) at left front edge. 
Work 1X1 rib for 7 rows. 
Bind off all sts.

 

Sew in all ends neatly, block the garment and sew on buttons according to the buttonholes.
